"A stout draught belongs securely at a warrior's hip, ready for the campfire rather than left behind on a tavern bench." Osric, Keeper of the Hearth & Forge

Whether gathered around a garrison fire after drill or feasting within a warlord’s timber hall, a warrior requires vesselware that survives the rigours of camp life. Drawn from historical Norse and early medieval traditions, this drinking flagon is shaped from ethically sourced natural horn. The raw horn is hollowed, polished down to reveal its organic marbling and depth of tone, and sealed with a food-safe resin interior to prevent leakage or tainted draughts. Because horn is an organic medium, no two flagons share the same contours or colouration, offering an authentic piece of martial kit.

The integrated horn handle is securely anchored, providing a firm grip even when hands are numb from cold rain or slick with tallow. What distinguishes this piece on active campaign is its carrying rig. The accompanying holder is fashioned from genuine, heavy-grade leather and fastened with a functional medieval buckle. This allows you to sling the tankard directly onto your arming belt or sword baldric, keeping both hands free for tending campfires, sharpening blades, or bearing arms without misplacing your vessel.

For transit between muster points, pack the cup into the supplied canvas bag to prevent grit from scouring the polished horn. When fitting the leather frog to your war belt, cinch the buckle firmly against your non-dominant hip, opposite your sidearm, so that the vessel hangs clear of your scabbard and does not clatter against your maille. Remember to cleanse the horn only with lukewarm water; boiling liquids or harsh spirits will warp and crack the organic grain.
