The sweeping crest is fitted with genuine black horsehair, lending an imposing silhouette suitable for theatrical performance, film, fantasy LARP, and grand hall display. Inside, an integrated lining ensures a snug, settled fit straight from the armoury workbench. Be clear on its station: 20-gauge metal is purely decorative and costume-grade. It is not engineered to withstand blunted training blades, heavy re-enactment strikes, or protective combat.
Upon delivery, you will find the polished steel dressed in a protective film of packing oil to prevent tarnishing and rust during carriage. Wipe this clean with a dry cloth before you strap it on. Between outings, store the helm in dry quarters and apply an occasional wipe of oil to preserve the steel's lustre and keep moisture away from the plume.
