Antique Brass Hasp Latch Hardware Set – 3 Pieces

"A stout oak chest counts for little if the latch gives way at the first jolt of the wagon." Osric, Keeper of the Hearth & Forge

A campaigner’s gear must withstand the trials of the road, damp bivouacs, and hard handling. This three-piece set of large antique brass hasp latches brings both authentic historical character and sturdy function to your campaign furniture. Whether you are outfitting a baggage trunk for your harness, securing arming chests in the garrison, or fitting out quarters cabinetry, these latches deliver stalwart utility.

Forged with an eye toward enduring service, the brass alloy offers natural resistance to corrosion, standing firm against damp weather and coastal air that would turn common iron to flake and ruin. The warm, weathered patina settles handsomely against dark oak, pine, or oiled leather, looking every bit the veteran part straight from the workbench. Each latch features a broad mounting plate and a sturdy hinged arm, built to hold fast under heavy transport.

When fitting these to your woodwork, take care to pre-drill pilot holes to avoid splitting dry grain, especially when working seasoned hardwoods. Align the hasp flush across the seam of your lid and coffer body before driving your fixings home. These latches are an excellent choice for reenactors, craftsmen, and quartermasters seeking reliable, battle-ready hardware to preserve their provisions, arms, and personal sundries in camp or garrison.
